Rough Commute

The World Cup press corp. did a little skiing this morning. What an incredible day here in Flachau. They're expecting 12-15,000 fans to come out tonight for the women's night slalom. And dag nab it, i believe them.

Guten abend from Flachau. I was able to get in a couple of turns this morning and hope to tomorrow morning as well. Snow wasn't so sweet, but it was still good to be outside.

Rodelbahn!

It's safe to say the World Cup season is in full swing when you find yourself at a table full of journalists drinking beer and gluhwein while the Altenmarkt Burgermeister shakes the room with his French horn. The whole mess, later hurdled down the Hochnossleralm rodelbahn claiming we were ready for the sports submission into the Olympic program.

Midway down and thinking i was a sure shot for the extremely unofficial rodel podium, a blitz of snow zipped past on my left shouting "Vorsicht!" I careened off the trail and into a snowbank.

It was the burgermeister.

Nursery

So, i came home from a ski on Wednesday thinking we were going to a movie. Notta, a big ol brown box on the front porch said otherwise.

Ta-da, here's Kat testing out the new glider. Whattaya think of the checkered rug? Pretty sweet eh!

Baby Monkey's first snowshoe - sorta

Happy Kwanzachristmakah friends and family. It was a big day today with the crew at 104 Old Lake Colby. Baby Monkey's first day on snowshoes - as a passenger.

Mommy did an awesome job as pilot and she looked incredibly cute despite the fact that she can't zip up her snow pants. High five for suspenders.

How about a little more Color?

After finishing the kitchen in August, we decided to get nuts and refinish the floors in my office and the new nursery - then added new windows and a fresh coat of paint to each. It looks sweet. So much so, that we went another step further and added a some more color to the main floor. Now it's time to enjoy it...Baby is due Feb. 21.
